Welcome to QuinPick!

QuinPick is a prediction game where you compete against players worldwide by predicting sports match outcomes. The more accurate your predictions, the more points you earn!

Tournament Types

Group Stage Tournaments

Examples: World Cup, Euro Cup

How to Play:

  1. Navigate to a group tournament
  2. Select a group (A, B, C, etc.)
  3. Enter your predicted score for each match (e.g., 2-1, 3-0)
  4. Click "Save" to lock in your prediction
  5. View real-time group standings based on your predictions

Scoring:

  • 3 points:Exact score match (e.g., you predicted 2-1, result is 2-1)
  • 2 points:Correct winner AND goal difference (e.g., you predicted 2-0, result is 3-1)
  • 1 point:Correct winner only (e.g., you predicted 2-0, result is 1-0)
  • 0 points:Incorrect prediction

Example:

Match: Brazil vs Argentina

Your prediction: 2-1

Actual result: 2-1

✓ +3 points (Perfect!)

Bracket Tournaments

Examples: NCAA March Madness, Champions League Knockout

How to Play:

  1. Navigate to a bracket tournament
  2. Click on a team to select them as the winner
  3. Your pick is automatically saved
  4. Winners advance to the next round
  5. Fill out all rounds to complete your bracket

Scoring (March Madness Style):

Points awarded exponentially by round:

  • Round 1 (Round of 64):1 point
  • Round 2 (Round of 32):2 points
  • Round 3 (Sweet 16):4 points
  • Round 4 (Elite 8):8 points
  • Round 5 (Final 4):16 points
  • Round 6 (Championship):32 points

Perfect Bracket (64 teams): 192 points maximum

Pro Tip:

Later rounds are worth exponentially more points! A correct championship pick (32 pts) is worth as much as 32 correct Round 1 picks.

Groups

Compete with your friends or join public groups to add an extra layer of competition!

Creating a League:

  1. Go to the Groups page
  2. Click "Create League"
  3. Choose a tournament and league name
  4. Set as public (anyone can join) or private (join code required)
  5. Share the join code with friends for private groups

Joining a League:

  1. Browse public groups on the Groups page
  2. Or enter a 6-character join code for private groups
  3. Click "Join" to start competing
  4. View your league-specific leaderboard

💡 You can join multiple groups for the same tournament and compete in different groups simultaneously!

⚖️ Balance Risk vs Reward

In brackets, later rounds are worth more. Consider which upsets are worth the risk.

⏰ Predict Early

You can update predictions until the match starts. Make early picks and adjust as news breaks.

Focus on steady, accurate predictions rather than risky longshots. Consistency pays off!
